W. David Lyons

  Mr. Lyons has been associated with oil and gas developments since the early 1980s. He is Non-Executive Chairman of Orca Exploration Group Inc. (formerly East Coast Energy Corporation) and previously the Non-Executive Chairman of EastCoast Energy Corporation. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of PanOcean Energy Corporation and predecessor companies including Ocelot Energy Inc. and PanAfrican Energy Corporation. He oversaw the transition of Ocelot Energy from a Canadian oil and gas company into an independent international oil and gas explorer and developer. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Calgary.
Peter R. Clutterbuck

Mr. Clutterbuck has 35 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry – most of this with the BP Group in operations positions in the Middle East, North Sea and Alaska. Subsequently he managed a number of independent companies operating in South America, Asia and the former Soviet Union. He has been associated with predecessor companies of Orca Exploration Group Inc. since 2001. He has served on the Board of the Society of Petroleum Engineers in London since 1998. He holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Cambridge University.

Nigel A. Friend

  Mr. Friend has been associated with Orca Exploration’s Tanzanian project since 2002 in a commercial and financial role. He trained with KPMG and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Prior to working with Orca and its predecessor company, EastCoast Energy, he was part of a section in Enron Europe that invested capital in international oil and gas companies. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Economics.
John Patterson

  Mr. Patterson has more than 25 years international oil and gas experience, primarily with Nexen, Dome Petroleum and NOVA, An Alberta Corporation. He has a broad background in acquisitions, financings, governance, tax planning and management. Since 1999, as President of Nexen Energy Services International, he has managed Nexen’s oil, gas and chemical assets. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross & Co. and is a graduate of University of Bristol with a B. Sc. Special Honours in Mathematics.
James N. Smith,

  Mr. Smith has extensive oil and gas exploration experience in Africa and the Middle East.  He was previously the Manager for New Ventures with Chevron and more recently was Vice President Exploration with PanOcean Energy Corporation.  At PanOcean he was instrumental in the rapid development of a portfolio of onshore and offshore oil assets in Gabon that were sold in 2006.
