Welcome to the Orca Exploration Group

Orca Exploration's vision is to benefit our shareholders, employees and partners through the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in proven underdeveloped hydrocarbon basins.

Orca Exploration is an international public company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration, development and supply of natural gas in Tanzania, oil exploration in Italy and the development of high potential oil exploration and production opportunities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Orca and its employees are committed to ethically, socially and environmentally responsible development.

Orca Exploration Group Inc. is a well-financed, international public company listed on the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange.

In Tanzania, Orca operates through its subsidiary PanAfrican Energy (PAE) Tanzania Ltd. where since 2004 it has created and operated a highly successful, integrated African gas business through the operatorship of the Songo Songo gas field and the marketing and distribution of Additional Gas to the power and industrial sectors in Dar es Salaam.

The 1.5 Tcf Songo Songo field was the first, and remains the largest commercial producing gas field in Tanzania and the East African Communities, providing gas to powers stations that generate in excess of 50% of Tanzania's electricity requirements, and supplying industrial customers in Dar es Salaam.

In 2011 Orca in planning to test the low risk Songo Songo West (SSW) prospect, a major potential source of reserves upside in the Songo Songo area. If successful SSW could provide the resources to underwrite a significant expansion of the gas infrastructure and growing markets both in Tanzania and beyond.

In 2010 Orca has an aggressive expansion programme to capture multiple additional assets with a focus on oil exploration, leveraged from a strong financial base. This is intended to diversify risk and lead to a step change in company value.
